$189 for an Open-Water Diver Certification Course ($384 Value)
- One 2.5-hour Friday classroom session
- Two pool sessions from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (equipment included)
- Open-water ocean dives on the following weekend (equipment not included)
- SSI student kit with manual, workbooks, dive tables, folder, and bag
- SSI logbook
A classroom lesson commences the open-water diver certification course, covering fundamental diving techniques and other material in the SSI student kit. On the following days, students adapt to their equipment and underwater maneuvers during pool sessions, clad in school-provided scuba gear. They meet the following weekend to earn their certification with ocean dives, which can take place at Salt Point State Park, Stillwater Cove Regional Park, or Monterey. (Students will need to arrange their own transportation.)
All participants must provide or purchase their own mask, fins, snorkel, boots, and gloves; students receive a 10% discount on all dive shop purchases.
