Clear removable aligners correct slight dental misalignments, such as crowded teeth, in three–six months.

Before installing the metal implant in the jaw, the dental surgeon will conduct a thorough exam and take x-rays of mouths. It takes approximately three months—and sometimes up to six—for the implant to fuse to the jawbone and completely heal. Once the implant has healed, the doctor attaches an abutment to the implant and then attaches the crown—the artificial tooth—to the abutment to fill in any missing teeth. The number of visits depends on the patient, and each visit takes approximately 1.5–3 hours.
